Migration Policy Renews Lease for Additional 10 Years

(McLean, VA, January 1, 2009) - The Migration Policy Institute (MPI) renewed its lease on the third floor at the Resources and Conservation Center located at 1400 16th Street, NW Washington, DC.  The association signed for an additional 10 years, commencing January 1, 2011.  They plan to expand an extra 1,000 sq.ft. to occupy a total of approximately 8,900 sq. ft.

The Resources and Conservation Center building is a 188,000 sq. ft. Class-A office building located in the CBD submarket.  RCC features an Energy Star Building label, on-site café, 2-acre courtyard with Wi-Fi access, modern conference center and an underground garage with ample parking spaces.  It’s situated in the Dupont Circle neighborhood close to the Dupont Circle Metro Station, numerous shops and restaurants.

Founded in 2001, "MPI provides analysis, development, and evaluation of migration and refugee policies at the local, national, and international levels.” Michael Gordon of Stout and Teague represented the landlord, RCC, LP.  John Olson of Lincoln Property Company represented MPI.

Association of Alexandria Radiologist Inks 5K at 8001 Forbes

(McLean, VA, September 1, 2009) - The Association of Alexandria Radiologists (AAR) leased the 1st floor space at 8001 Forbes Place in Springfield, VA.  The association signed for 5 years and plans to move into the 70,000-square-foot office building in September of 2009.

8001 Forbes Place is located in the Springfield/Burke submarket and is situated right off Braddock Road on I-495.  The building features a newly renovated lobby and free surface parking.  The building is located inside the Ravensworth Business Park close to shops and restaurants. It’s easily accessible from I-95, I-395, Dulles International Airport and Reagan National Airport.

Since 1970, AAR has provided diagnostic imaging and treatment services throughout Northern Virginia.  They will be relocating to 8001 Forbes Place from its Alexandria location.  Michael Gordon of Stout and Teague represented the landlord, 8001 Forbes Place LP.  AAR was represented in-house.

Institute for the Study of War Signs Lease at Resources & Conservation Center

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) signed a 5-year lease at the Resources and Conservation Center (RCC) located at 1400 16th St., NW.  The not-for-profit institution, whose goal is to educate current and future decision makers,  will occupy 5,788 sf on the fifth floor beginning in September.  The Resources and Conservation Center building is a 188,000 sq. ft. Class-A office building located in the CBD submarket.  RCC features an Energy Star Building label, on-site café, 2-acre courtyard with Wi-Fi access, modern conference center and an underground garage with ample parking spaces.  It’s situated in the Dupont Circle neighborhood close to the Dupont Circle Metro Station, numerous shops and restaurants.

Law firm, Olsson Frank Weeda Terman Bode Matz, P.C. renewed its lease for 20,766 square feet on the fourth floor at 1400 16th Street, NW.

“This firm was one of the first tenants in the building when it opened in 1988, and we’re delighted they’ll be remaining with us for the foreseeable future. The terms of the renewal terms give them the ability to expand to take the entire floor as their growth warrants,” stated Michael Gordon, Stout and Teague’s Vice President of Leasing.

Valoria Gerald Joins Stout & Teague as Asset Manager

McLean, VA - Commercial real estate development firm Stout and Teague today announced that Valoria Gerald, a professional with more than a decade years of experience in the industry, has joined the company as Asset Manager. She will be based in Stout and Teague’s headquarters in McLean, VA.

Ms. Gerald has assumed responsibility for lease administration and budgeting for the company’s management portfolio. She will also collaborate with the leasing department to manage and handle leasing assignments with an emphasis on government tenants.

Prior to joining Stout and Teague, Ms. Gerald was an Assistant Vice President with Quadrangle Development Corporation, located in Washington, DC. She is a licensed agent in Virginia and South Carolina.
